Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our handcrafted fossil jewelry.
What exactly is a Petoskey Stone?
A Petoskey Stone is a fossilized rugose coral, Hexagonaria percarinata, unique to the shores of Lake Michigan. Each piece of jewelry features a stone that has been hand-picked and polished to reveal its distinct hexagonal patterns.
How should I care for my Petoskey Stone jewelry?
To maintain the natural luster, clean your jewelry with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and prolonged exposure to water which can dull the polished surface of the fossil.
How long does shipping take?
Standard domestic shipping typically takes 3-7 business days. As many of our pieces are handcrafted to order, please allow an additional 2 business days for processing before your unique item ships.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy for all unworn jewelry in its original packaging. Please note that because every stone is a natural fossil, variations in pattern and color are expected and not considered defects.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship our Michigan-sourced treasures worldwide. International delivery times vary by destination, and customers are responsible for any applicable customs fees or import duties.
Can I request a custom setting or stone?
We love creating bespoke pieces. If you have a specific design in mind or a stone you found yourself that you would like set in sterling silver or gold, please contact our artisan team for a custom quote.
